Greenville has recently been getting attention as South Carolina's
hippest small town. With notable new entries in the foodie world,
a sweeping downtown waterfall park and a casual, cozy flair, it's got
a lot going for it. Even while ultra-conservative Bob Jones University
attracts its flock of devotees, free-thinking
liberals seem to be equally at home here as well. Paris Mountain State
Park is very close to town, and so there was an
impromptu rendezvous of Airstreamers here: Tom and Martha,
Jason and Kirby and Suzy, and Harley and I. We all negotiated the twisty
curves of the narrow road to get to the peaceful campground where the
colors of Fall were still painting the landscape.

Downtown Greenville is a fun place to be. And cool kids can have
even more fun hunting for the Mice
on Main. Inspired from the book Goodnight
Moon, there are nine
bronze mice (normal mouse size) that are frozen in time doing their
mousy things between the Hyatt and the Westin Pointsett Hotel on Main
street. Jason and I found three of 'em. And then we found a bar that
had an Absinthe drip.
